Welcome to Chains and Leather. I have been out of the review game for some time, but I recently felt a desire to get back into it. Where Northern Isolation focussed exclusively on black metal (and black metal related drama), Chains and Leather will be dedicated to reviewing a wide array of metal releases. Where Northern Isolation increasingly reviewed higher profile bands, Chains and Leather will move away from that. Frankly, black metal has become insufferably boring to me, with a few notable exceptions. I was doing an absurd number of review sets with Northern Isolation so, eventually, the releases I reviewed were becoming increasingly mediocre, as were my reviews of them. This is me hitting reset on the whole thing. Fresh start. First review set coming within the first few days.
